Regarding starting cash, do characters who began as ronin but have joined the clans start getting that sweet, sweet Kami koku? Or are we still sad, impoverished hangers-on of our new overlords, kept poor so that we do not have dreams of running away?

So not being married my glory wouldn't come from that - therefore my glory for this game would be:

4.0 from previous game
6.0 from 6 ranks of status

10.0 minus what went away in the years between games (although there was no inactivity in those years)?

You gain Points when increasing in Status. Not Ranks. The book struggles with this sometimes, but Ranks are always specified. If not specified, it's points.

So going from Status 1 to 6 would be +6 points of Glory.

When building in character creation - What books are available for use in general for material such as alternate rules/advantages/disadvantages?

Current Assumption is Core, Great Clans, Emerald Empire, Imperial Histories (Dawn chapter only), Enemies of the Empire, with exceptions made pending GM notification or for banned material (e.g. Maho is banned at present.). Is this a correct assumption?

There will be skips between most days for marching. If you don't see a day listed, it won't be an active day.

The book says 'Status Gain Glory equal to the amount of Status gained'. If you gain 6 ranks of status (aka 60 points of status), isn't that 6 ranks of glory (aka 60 points of glory)?
