For crafting, lots of folks asking for stuff I have no clue how to answer.

I have Craft: Armorsmith, Blacksmith, and Weaponsmith, but I do not have Engineering, so I don't know if I can come up with ideas that they propose, or if they would have to come up with it and then tell me about it and I create it

There's going to be a ton of questions about item materials and price, so we can determine the TN and amount of time required.

For example, someone asked if I could combine a nunchuckan and a bo, to essentially make a three-ring staff.

I know in real life if someone described it to me and I had workable materials, I could try and whip something up, but no idea how it works in game since anyone can just come up with an idea. Does it need some sort of roll first to get that idea?

Also, is there a commonly accepted 'way to talk to each other' such as the suffixes of modern Rokugan, or is that more of a thing the Crane are introducing people to still?

You can come up with ideas for armor, metal tools and materials, and weapons with that. It would take a roll. Craft: [relevant thing]/Intelligence, TN 20, raises for more complex stuff.

Crane are working on it. Y'all are probably gonna accidentally insult each other a lot at first with different tribal cultures bumping against each other. Part of what Doji's methods were created to help with.

Regarding crafting (crafting is a never-ending source of questions), can the time needed to craft a given object be split between several characters? Like, the main crafter spends 4 of their slot, and their helper 2 of their own? If so, how rolling works?
