Most of the flames that had once embraced the location had died down to scattered flickers without the oni here to feed them. That wasn't the only thing there, though. While most of him had burned away after his final explosion, there were still smoking splatters of acidic blood here and there. The question was how to retrieve them without burning through anything they touched.

Some of the blood is still smoldering. "So, it's two problems. The first is that it's acidic. The second is that it's fire."
Reo squats, thinking on the problem. "We will try the "on fire" problem first"
He reaches into his pack and pulls out a wine skin. He does his best to stand well back from any fumes (learning his lesson from previous instances) and puts a few drops onto the blood.

The wine proceeds to burst into flames before fully hitting the blood.
