There was a man with a mohawk on his head and with lips on his ocarina. And there was some music, neither good nor bad, neither captivating nor repulsive, just casually played with no heed for any culture of excellence. He was seated on a fallen trunk, chopped for firewood in some part, looking nowhere in particular, neither inward or outward.

Kinsen is attracked to the sound outside her tent and finds a cozy place to sit nearby the fire while Koyama plays. She greets him with a nod, and mentions her jade pedant at her neck.

He saluted with one hand, bringing no halt to playing. His own jade pendant was ever there, Ki-Rin-shaped, resting on his chest.

It took a moment before a mountain tune would arrive at its end. He looked at the golden girl, his tribal tattoos shifting upon a change of expression, into a mostly amiable one. They had been living side by side for a time now so while it wasn't always easy to accommodate her and her husband's presence, Koyama had cut things he took issue with to the bare minimum, mostly for Shinjo's sake.

"Greetings, Kinsen. Haes yer day braught guid tidings?"

“Good evening, Koyama-san!” Kinsen returns the warm greeting with a smile, adding, “The day was productive!

She flashes her brilliant and sparkling jade green fingernails up near her cheeks, and bats her eyelashes in a striking pose.

"I git th' message: th' day haes nae worn doon yer bonnieness." Koyama chuckled at her pose-striking. ""Hae ye turned jade powder intae nail polish?"

"Hmmmm!" She nods positively at his question, turning her hand over to admire the glinting effect due the fire in front of them. "It was Saruko-sama, though. And Taochusu-san helped. He's that gib, buff guy with a sad look in his eyes, but a sweet smile. I merely... incentivized... them... to do what I had in my mind. I'm so happy it worked though. I am enjoying this green accessory theme."

"Ye pay a lot o' attention tae howfur ye keek, dinnae you?" Koyama smirked, returning to looking into her face from the glance at the nails in question. "Is yer guidman noticing at least?"

"Being presentable to others is also a good form of courtesy, no?" She keeps looking at the sparkles. "Well. I confess I can overdo a bit some times, but I kind of like it."

With a shrug, she replies. "Dear husband is kind of an airhead sometimes. He did fall from the sky, remember that. But I manage to incentivize him to notice me when I think it is important. Isn't Shinjo-kami-sama similar?"

"I cannae say ah fully ken her mynd bit it seems that th' incentives she responds tae ur less aboot mah looks 'n' mair aboot mah actions." He shrugged. "I haven't changed mah looks sin we merrit that much. Besides, isnae it that th' moment th' real appeal atween guidman 'n' guidwife matters is th' yin wi'oot claes 'n' adornments?"

"I always wrap the gifts I offer. It is much more fun when you add a bit of surprise, no?" Kinsen giggles, tinting her cheeks a bit red.

"Hmmm." Koyama gave it a genuine thought, interspersed with looking over Kinsen acting as a case in point and perhaps inspiration.

"So." Of course, she would ask. "Are you planning to give me more nephews?"

"Ah hae ne'er stopped." He smirked. ""Guess ye kip lik' a rock if ye dinnae know."

Kinsen raises an eyebrow while opening a smirk. She gets half of the sentence, though. "I am happy for that. The more children we provide to this new Empire, the stronger it will be."

He agreed on that account, so he nodded. "Dae ye 'n' yer guidman hae the script fur efter this? Mah guidwife haes said somehing aboot travelling west."

She shakes her head negatively. "Besides giving a brother to Genji-kun, I guess it to follow up the plan to put roads and farmlands across the Golden Sun Plains."

Kinsen tilts her head. "There should be plenty of good land up the northwest. So my mother said to me once."

"Ah dinnae think Shinjo wants tae gang wast tae settle it." He mused, glancing up at Kinsen. "It's hard tae keep her in yin steid fur long."

She shrugs again, wondering out loud, "Once you hit west enough, you'll find mountains then you... come back?"

"Or cross th' bens. Th' Hikaru that a've brought tae be Shinjo kin dae that."

"But you'll fall." She scoffs.
