If we're getting a start on traditions that exist in canon, they might not be using their proper names in daily life as small children/babies anyway. And if we're sticking to tribal customs, bandying an infant's name about too widely could be dangerous for him/her?

I've identified sex - two boys and a girl, and a child that died in it's first winter. No names yet, but thinking it would likely be Jiro, Soro, Himeko type names - basic, but non-descript.

Remember, you're talking to the guy who was able to respond to the, "make sure you count any event rewards you earned" with "I didn't earn any."

At this point, their creativity might be needed to make the dumb asocial bushi-types pull their weight

Whereas I suspect Day 1 and any diplomacy in the future is the only times I'll be useful, but we'll see! Saruko's weird mish-mash of skills have come in handy so far.

Yeah. I mean Jin ended up a family daimyo basically due to one single event happening to key off a number of flavor advantages he had taken last game. He managed to score a few other points here and there but that was largely what did it. Who knew a bunch of Way of the Land that will probably never come up again could be so fruitful....
