"... No? ... No one has told me of this?" as quickly as she had smiled, she was quick to look concerned again.

"What kind of voices?"

“For Nanzi it as the voice of his father for others it was lost lovers or family… but for all it was just the evil of Jigoku trying to entice us into the swampy waters to our doom,” he said calmly.

“Nanzi says this to mean that we must be vigilant but also that whatever we are facing will do things to twist us up… use our virtues against us.”

It was very concerning.

"... This could mean that the realm is much more devious than we thought. To prey on our thoughts and our memories in such a way, and know them too. We shouldn't take for granted what sort of tricks they might pull on us."

Nanzi nodded at her understanding of what he said. He continued, "Please be vigilant, it will play on our best and worst natures."

"I won't pretend I'm more resistant to its tricks, but... my spirit-walking ability does make me more aware of spiritual connections to the realms. No such trick has been tried on me so far, but I won't say it can't happen..."

She sighed and steeled her resolve. "Stay vigilant and safe, brother."

"That will be the words for all of us, going forward," he said with a shrug.

"Nanzi will spread the word to remind all to be alert, but for now at least we have this moment."

"We do."

Another sigh, and she looked off in the distance, towards the direction of the camp.

"I should probably get the water back to camp. Thank you again, for your help."

"Of course, we are family and friends, it is what we do," he said with a smile.

"Are you heading back to camp too, or planning to continue your stroll of the area"?

"Nanzi will sit a bit, this place reminds Nanzi of Doji-chan," he said warmly.

"Ah," she gave him a knowing smile. "Then I will leave you to it, Nanzi. I'll see you later."

Stepping back, she gave a bow, and then a wave.

And then she headed back to camp with a full bucket of water.
