[D13 LM] Checking the Debris

[Taochusu]

Taochusu entered the debris field with his hammer at the ready. This close to the danger, there was no telling what might be there. But at the same time, there was potentially a chance to find useful things out here that might help the expedition.

He did what he could to search through the rubble and debris.

Taochusu finds some rubble and a smattering of debris.

[Jiyo Ayumu]

Ayumu was overwhelmed by what he was seeing. Did a Nezumi city even bigger that the one they visited really stand here just a few years ago? So little of it remained, and the wilderness was already taking back its revenge.

And if the land was that torched so far from the pit, what did it even look like at the main point of impact?

[Taochusu]

Waving to the Jiyo, Taochusu approached. "Hey there!"

[Jiyo Ayumu]

"Hi Taochusu. Glad to see you.

How are you doing? I've heard you lived up to your legend my smashing a gigantic spider without breaking a sweat."

[Taochusu]

"The magic users did most of the work, making light beams and boulders that could destroy the monsters. I just did what I could to help get it done," he says with a shrug. "How have you been Ayumu?"

[Jiyo Ayumu]

"As fine as anyone can be in such a situation I think. Helping here and there to the extent of my skills. Trying to keep everyone in best form for the upcoming final stretch. And the long way back after that."

[Shinjo Koyama]

In a moderate distance they could see Koyama scouring for magic mushrooms amid the rubble.

[Taochusu]

"The return almost always feels quicker than heading out. At least in my experience. Heading back to my camp always felt quicker than tracking animals. Well, unless I was hauling a larger animal. Then it's a lot slower. All we gotta do is not pick up anything that's heavier than all the supplies we've used and then some and we shouldn't get that."

[Jiyo Ayumu]

"It all depends on how much Fu-Leng weights then. Which, I confess, wasn't a question I thought about until now. Think you could hauling him if it comes to that?"

Ayumu waved at the man who he thinks is Shinjo's partner from his very distinctive haircut.

[Shinjo Koyama]

The man with distinctive haircut waved back and progressed in their direction, picking mushrooms on the way.

[Jiyo Ayumu]

"Hi... Koyama is that it? Partner of Shinjo and legend of the Ki-Rin? I'm Ayumu and, in case you haven't met before, this is the mighty Taochusu."

[Shinjo Koyama]

"Ah'm th' jimmy. 'n' ah kin hae heard o' baith o' ye fae ither fowk. Nae ill things."

[Jiyo Ayumu]

"Sure? I guess?"

Ayumu might be slightly confused by the man strong accent.

"You know of Miuna and Aono? Did they teach you their silent language?"

His hands signed the words silent language is beautiful while he was saying that aloud.

[Taochusu]

"Hey," the big guy replies to Koyama. "I'm Taochusu."

[Shinjo Koyama]

"Whit? Nay." He shook his head. "Dae ye hae hearing aishans or ur ye juist nay comfy wi' mah lingo?"

"Well met, muckle guy Taochusu. Ye remind me o' mah fowk, th' Hikaru." He nodded to the mountain of a man.

[Jiyo Ayumu]

"I'm having difficulties understanding what you're saying, yes. But don't worry, I adapt fast. Keep talking and I'll eventually get the hang of it.

If you're from the Hikaru, you must know of my sempai Sora. Orange eye, looks scary, is actually a softie."

[Taochusu]

"For all I know my tribe could have been from them originally, but most of my tribe wasn't big as me," he says with a shrug. "And they're all gone now so it don't really matter that much where they came from. All that's left of them is me and my memories."

[Shinjo Koyama]

Koyama smirked in approval that Ayumu was willing to catch up on his dialect.

"Sora 'n' ah gang wey back. Ye kin ask him aboot me neist time ye meet."

He then nodded to Taochusu. "See, ah hae taken maist o' mah gang tae jyne Shinjo. Tribes ur changing as we speak. Bit Hikaru is a' aboot howfur ye bide, lik' a teuchter 'n' nae lik' a mud dweller. With braun 'n' pride, 'n' freedom tae guide yer legs aun."

[Taochusu]

"I never really concerned myself with pride. The brawn just helps when you gotta deal with bandits or when you gotta haul stuff. Pride'll get you killed though. Easier to just let stuff go if you can afford to."
