Time: Early Evening. This Event opens at 09:00 PDT.


The group of defenders stands ready in the blasted landscape forming a shield for the Wedding ceremony and the descent party holding long enough to rescue the trapped God. The area immediately around you is mostly clear but for some rubble. The clear area is surrounded by heavy rubble and corrupted plant growth but sounds can be heard within……….

This fight will take place across three waves of combat. Each wave will end when there are no more enemies on the field of battle. 


The players will have one round of actions before new enemies arrive. New enemies will place themselves in the established initiative order.

Each round enemies start 30 feet away from the defenders

This combat will use a minion rule in which some groups of weaker enemies will be put together into a single "entity" these enemies will act on the same initiative turn and have the same attack roll. Each minion beyond the first upgrades the base stats of the group in a cumulative manner.  For the purpose of spells and abilities that target one thing they target the group, AOE spells consider the group as one thing being hit. The group has a shared health pool equal to the sum of the minions health. When doing enough damage to kill a minion that minion no longer counts toward the group and the bonuses the group has will be reduced.  


Players may as a complex action flee combat, they will be removed from the event safely, but they may not join the secondary defenders. 


If the players survive all three rounds they win and protected the ceremony. If all the characters are reduced to down or flee what is remaining of the waves will move on to the secondary defense ring and attempt to attack the shugenjas.

Ko gripped her warclub and swiped a stray drop of the foul rain from her forehead with the back of her other hand before it could trickle closer to her eye. This was it; this was how she'd prove her people--humans and ningyo both--were worth the attention and aid of the Kami and their Empire.

And also maybe save the world from a corrupted god? She was a little vague on the shaman stuff, but as she scrunched her soft boots into the damp, filthy soil and sank into a stronger stance, she knew this might be one of the most critical fights of her life.

Also maybe the last.

Satone lifts her hammer off her shoulder and grips it with both hands, rubbing an oil with jade dust mixed in it onto its head and onto the sacred rope wrapped around it.

"Best stay behind me if you are not an up close fighter. Let them focus on me."

She closes her eyes for a moment and takes a deep breath, a feeling of determination and certainty sinking into her.

Taochusu stood on the outer ring, ready to absorb the impact of the assault. Death was coming for him, for the n-th time in his life but he didn't wonder if he would survive. Just like every other time he simply wondered how hard he could hit his enemies with his hammer.

[Tyrus]

A clamor can be heard from the ruins around you as suddenly a small hoard of small green creatures brandishing sharp rock knives comes rushing out screaming unintelligible gibberish as they do. Behind them one tall strong looking green creature seems to be shouting orders to the smaller ones.

eight of the small green beasties runs full bore into the samurai's defensive line they are small but incredibly swift before they can react Inga and Reo are swarmed small stone knives cut and slash the defenders drawing first blood and possibly causing a grievous injury

[Taochusu]

Taochusu steps in beside the group going after Reo, the massive swing tearing through the group as he tries to send some of them flying. A low grunt of effort escapes his mouth.

After the swing, he turns to keep as many goblins in front of him, holding his dai tsuchi in front of him as a warning and to help fend off any attacks.

Ko stepped in closer to the archer in Taochusu's wake. She angled the swing of her warclub to drive the horrible little humanoids away from Reo, in hopes that he could clear his bow in time to take a shot before the others closed in.

Who would have thought a weapon with only a wooden edge could be so... surgical?

[Reo]

Reo reels back as he he is attacked, panting. He feels a stab of panic (along with literal stabbing), but in a flash two others are by him with heavy weapons and the goblins are gone.

"Thanks." Reo, now free of the goblins in his face, takes a quick step back and rifles for his quiver. There is a leader commanding this bunch, and Reo has something special in mind. He pulls out an arrow, with the willow leaf shape and a vibrant green hue. Reo levels his sight on the warleader.

"An archer does not aim with his eye. A man who aims with his eye has forgot the shape of the Earth. I aim with my mind." The words are a mantra as he draws, releasing the shaft. It strikes true, burying itself in the shoulder

Reo's arrow strikes deep into the creatures shoulder but it glares and shouts untilligably to the little monsters on the field who seem to be whipped into even more murderous blood lust.

The other group of frenzied monsters charge the massive muscular man attacking with a wild abandon just as their small cousins turn to the big lady that killed half their friends and begin to stab Satone in the legs.
