[Bayushi Umeno]

Umeno gave another smirk. "Wasn't that great to begin with." It was a tease, to lighten the mood even if just a little.

[Jiyo Ayumu]

Ayumu smiled softly in response to both:

"All is relative. I think I've retrieved sensations in all parts of my body, even if that sensation is a mix of light tingling and sour pain at the moment. Could have been far, far worst.

This... Thing? I'm not sure any of our hits did anything to it but the ones done with that jaded hammer. My own spear... Might have well plunged it into an acid pool."

[Bayushi Umeno]

"No, we were all hurting it, most certainly. It definitely didn't like the Jade, but we kinda already knew it wouldn't." She paused, frowning. "Makes me wonder if it's creatures like that who're torturing Fu Leng. Imagine being burned like that for five years."

[Anjing Xia]

"In hindsight.....bows and arrow have a lot to recommend them. Maybe next time someone has to fight one of those creatures we'll recommend that?"

Pausing as Umeno's thought
"Can you torture a god though? I mean, we killed that creature, and we aren't as strong as the gods."

[Jiyo Ayumu]

"Not sure it would have been easy even with ranged weapons. Creature was quite intelligent and adaptive. Could have had other tricks up its sleeve.

I feel like Fu-Leng is going through hell right now... But I can't help but be worried first about the team will be sending in tomorrow. Imagine facing a group of these monsters not one-on-four but one-on-one."

[Jin]

"If our rituals work they should be protected from being swarmed... but conversely those demons and spirits strong enough to break through will be some of the most powerful in turn. The greatest numbers will likely be faced by those defenders outside the pit."

[Jiyo Ayumu]

"In a way, I'm happy we had to fight it today. That's one problem taken care of, and some insight on what to expect for tomorrow.

Except tomorrow we'll have to fight without big-rat's support."

[Hantei Kinsen]

Noticing the commotion, Kinsen hurries to the camp, asking them, "How can I help?"

She looks at her clanmate, Ayumu, and –– a bit longet –– to Umeno. Worry in her eyes.

[Bayushi Umeno]

Umeno looked up as Hantei's wife entered, giving a slight smile before looking over at Xia again. She didn't look too hurt, but from the smell of salve and the work being done on the others, the fact that there was a fight was obvious. "Mmm, Xia, you still got that weapon? I think you could help by bringing Ch'jak'matt's weapon to Ch’chit and let him know what happened Hantei-sama."

[Jiyo Ayumu]

Physically stabilized, but mentally exhausted, Ayumu had dropped into a half-conscious state, barely nodding at Kinsen's appearance.

[Hantei Kinsen]

Kinsen nods to Ayumu and, noticing he was rather fragile for her to simply bandage him up, frowns.

"I've hears some went into combat." She ways while collecting bandages and moving toward to Umeno. Taking a good look, she gently pushes her into a seat with her finger. "Stay still and let me try to help out. It looks superficial, but one never knows."

With that, she nearly mummifies the Scorpion, while slowly getting embarrassed.

Now wasn't the time for questions, though she had many to ask, so Umeno just sat there becoming mummified. She didn't mind, though soon she wasn't able to move much.

[Jin]

Jin watches Kinsen's 'technique' with a raised eyebrow and a bemused expression... moreso at Umeno's lack of complaint.

[Hantei Kinsen]

Nodding to the monster she created with a serious frown of worry, Kinsen pats Umeno's head gently, and moves to help someone else.

She also takes a moment to breathe better.

Kneeling near Chisei, Kinsen tries to do better, but –– still nervous –– ends up using too much strength in tying up the bandage.

"I'm sorry..." She says, trying to unbind the thing without much success.

[Seppun Chisei]

Chisei winced as Kinsen tightened the bandage around his wrist. He could feel it go numb. Was it still attached to him? "Ah... Kinsen-sama..." Chisei cleared his throat. "That might be a little much. I still need to use that hand, after all."

He gave the knot a little tug. And then another, frowning. "Ah..." Chisei gave Kinsen an awkward smile as he drew his ritual dagger, and cut the knot, letting it fall away.

Chisei gave her a gentle smile. "I do think you've quite stopped the bleeding." He said, his voice kind. "Would you like to work together on your friend? Many hands make light work, or so I've heard it said."

[Hantei Kinsen]

Wincing herself, she sighs with a sad look on her face, saying, "I'm useless."

[Bayushi Umeno]

"Mmmm mm mm, mm m mmm, mmm mm," Umeno said reassuringly.

[Seppun Chisei]

Chisei shook his head. "I can think of little that is farther from the truth than that, Kinsen-sama." He said, in his usual gentle tone. "In truth, you have impressed me this journey with your willingness to learn." He smiled. "And your courage, of course, but that was already known to me."

[Hantei Kinsen]

She sighs, still frustrated Hantei would go without her. But keeps it to herself, not lamenting to others unnecessarily. With a nod, she accepts the help Chisei offered and looks back at Umeno and Ayumu.

[Seppun Chisei]

With a nod, Chisei stepped to Umeno.

"You should apply pressure, yes, but it should be firm without being tight. He reached out, his long-fingered hands loosening the bandages on Umeno, then adjusting them. "Here, help me hold these as I tie them again?"
