"I didn't see it... just by rumors. It was the thing that looked like Shinsei and they practically tore down a dozen tents to find it, so I hear. I also hear that it touched Jade to no effect, so it's not a shadowland thing."

"It looked like Shinsei?" Haka's eyebrows rise in surprise. "This one cannot be certain, of course, but it sounds like an Ikiryo... which this one warned Shinsei about some days ago. How interesting."

"Yeah, he's a lot more faliable than I thought considering the reputation. But what is it and how do we kill it?" Reo's face is dead set, until a look of dawning comprehension takes over. "Oh yes, does it leave anything useful behind? I've been studying the remains of the strange things the others have killed"

As thisbone told Shinsej, the only way she knows to defeat an Ikiryo is to kill its creator." She pauses. "This is best done while the Ikiryo is not active, or it will become untethered. That is not good."

"Usually, the Ikiryo bears a resemblance to the person. In most cases, it is only active while the person sleeps." She taps a finger against her chin as she thinks. "I think... if you wound an Ikiryo, a similar wound should appear on the person...?"
