dagger-axe as the conversation flew about him.
Much of it was information he already had, with the biggest revelations being about Shinsei.

His injury didn't trouble him half so much as the fact that neither he nor Nanzi had even managed to connect with their target.

"We'll just have to cope with them as we have been. Now, I need to see whose tents I tore down looking for that thing."

Jins gaze shifts at the voice, taking in the other man, "Are you wounded, Sora?"

"I've had worse. Ryoko took the brunt of it. You might want to give it a look, just in case there's a chance of infection."

Phi happened to look around, noticing her own tent lying in a flattened mess and managed a small chuckle. "Was that your doing Sora?" she said just loud enough for him to hear. "I'll take that as payback for not telling you I was running off to find this one." She gave a little headjerk in Shinsei's direction, going back to listening.

"Hopefully, others will be as... Understanding."

The day being young and knowing others might yet need his blood Jin begrudgingly took Sora at his word and instead broke out his medicine kit to cleanse and dress Sora's wounds.

For just a moment, Phi's eyes widened and she glanced around. She shivered and swallowed and then closed her eyes, breathing more easily. Her fingers gripped at Shinsei's side, almost painfully. Her breathing tightened and she had to visibly control herself. When she did, she sagged very quietly and glanced around once more, trying to take mental notes. To remember things. To keep them close to her heart and then to leave them there.

She didn't dare think more on it.

A grunt and she went back to her mostly silent vigil. Though she wanted to speak with Yamadono when he'd calmed down a little bit. That... might be a while.

Shinsei glanced over at Phi, eyes creasing with concern. Whatever had passed her mind had been intense, and he didn't know if anyone else had taken note, but it was impossible to miss standing as close as he was.

Wanting to reassure her, but not call attention to something she clearly wished to conceal, he took hold of her hand and squeezed, hoping to catch her eyes with the brief, soft glance he sent her way.

He thought, Nanashi-san, you seem an old spirit have you experienced these wars before or is that beyond your understanding?

I know of these wars.

She felt the squeeze and offered him as warm a smile as she could. Anyone watching would see a kind of level of affection there that had not been at any point in her being present. It wasn't something she was entirely comfortable with, but it was a useful thing. Just a little something to get everyone to focus on that than before. She chuckled softly and winked. "Sorry... I've been worrying about Matsu the whole way back, Shinsei. Don't mind me. I'm just glad it didn't get a hand on her. I'm glad for all of them."

Nanzi knew they would discuss that fact later for now he focused on the scene.

Kyosei had come rushing back, following a glowing animal being ridden by two figures. What happened after was enough to make him stop and gape for a bit. Eventually he just shook his head and moved closer.

"The other... you was able to identify this young one as a Thunder. Can you do the same? Have you met any others? Are any others here?"
