Something Terrible planning thread

by Reo
I should, *should* be good and free to post this afternoon and I've been itching to try Reo out.
He's already lame so moving would not be an option. He would have to be a stationary target spitting out ranged attacks. If people rush the bog hag, he'd prefer pick off the spiderlings

As I said in the OOC thread, Sora has been grabbing an awful lot of plot, so I'm taking a backseat unless we have a hard time scaring up a fourth. There are other characters with a way better claim on the subplot here anyway.

I'm keen to be involved, but given the timezones, Xia will probably just be cheering folks on.

I'm happy to toss Jin in as your jade strike turret though I likely will be away for an hour or so when combat first opens so if someone else wants to cover the magic side (or we get four warriors who want to rush in without artillery) then so be it.

by Bayushi Umeno
Umeno is built for fighting, but I keep finding combat's others should likely have instead. In this case, shugenja and anyone with multiple attack would be preferable. My heavy weapon would help with the reduction from the chitin likely, but that's about Umeno's highest recommendation.
Besides, as has been said, there are others more intimately tied to the little girl plot.

I had my event and my fight, so I'll stand aside to let others have a turn.

Ayumu is so terribly built for this, from skills to disadvantage, that it would be quite funny to have him participate. But certainly not wise.
In character, who does have a good reason to search for Mizuki?

Everyone, she's a monster... not getting this links to her character she showed up for all of five minutes refused to touch jade and ran off.
Murder face this spider thing.

As said in OOC. Kinsen definitely would search for the girl. Now, I would gladly step back so others could join in. Kinsen had some good spotlight already in the previous event.

I would like to be here, will probably pop in when it opens. Didn't meet the little girl, but the situation has been explained so I don't think anyone really shouldn't be worried about whether they'd be on the lookout for her. Also, I suspect that if anyone has simple attacks at this point they're probably NPCs. Best we could probably hope for in that department is extra attack action which is probably also rare and relatively difficult against big monsters.

Yeah the announcement went out that the little girl was a monster according to Shinjo/Nanzi here:

I'd be willing to join if it appears that Hanzou would be useful, but I'm in favor of anyone who really wants it to go. That said, I can provide one or two people with a stored spell.

Saruko is as useful as wet paper in almost any fight, so I happily pass on all the fights.

Stored spells sound fun. Got one that instantly destroys 3 spider monsters?

If Inga go for this probably will trigger GMs Shenanigans. I could give it a try... mostly been a BG character... so I am fairly okay playing this.

Outside of Reo and Taochusu, who both expressed interest, looks like it is wide open, if you think it's something you would do go for it.

Unfortunately, Hanzou doesn't have Squash the Bug.
He does have:
Blessed Wind
Tempest of Air
Earth’s Stagnation
Path to Inner Peace
Strike of the Tsunami

I will say we should not expect this to be a ranged battle. I have no doubt they ignore the difficult terrain so will close in quick.

Yeah, that's my impression of it. And, in melee, Hanzou won't be very useful.

I has an idiot monk to go rescue on the back of a Unicorn, so I'm definitely going to be cheering you guys on from the west. Good luck!
