Nanzi has kept in contact with Anjing of the Crab, Reiko of the Spider, Togashi Sakuro of the Dragon, and Shinjo Koyama; he would also probably been a common sight around the Imperial households as I am sure Doji and himself would like to be involved with the social and bureaucratic aspects of running the newfound empire.

Members of the Crane and the Nanzi family will know he is active the defense of the clan and leads from the field, when able. If a character would like to know him or build any links over the five years, let me know. He is keenly interested in building a network of friendly contacts with the other clans/families so that all know that Crane are ever their generous and wealthy friends.

Jin would have, of course, stayed in touch with any of the Ki-Rin or Kolat.

Outside of that he is still shaking the mindset of a pariah and (albeit unwilling) loner. As such while he would have strived to keep in contact with anyone who initiated communication with him it is unlikely he would have made the first move in opening those lines not wanting to be a bother or a burden.

Dawei is a frequent guest in the house of The Seppun and her consort, Akagi. He's also in and out of the village at the foot of Seppun Hill, and roams the surrounding woodlands.

Kinsen would have kept close ties with remaining Noriaki, Seppun, Stag Clan additions, and some of the Lion. If you want to establish pre-game backgrounds, please, feel free to PM me.

Phi is available for those who are members or former members of the Hikaru tribe. Outside of the Hikaru tribe, it is possible that she might have come in contact with your character, particularly members of the Chinsei tribe who joined the Scorpion in the last year or so, but contact me via private message if you're interested.

To members of the Hikaru, she's been around and is known as a competent scout and hunter, and spends a great deal of her time out in the wilds, gathering for the tribe. When the Hikaru moved to the Ki-Rin, she stayed behind with those who had not yet joined, but did not involve herself in any recent malcontent activity. She's cordial with anyone of the Hikaru, regardless of their sides when the tribe started packing up north. She's, however, never been known as a really big 'people person,' and so she doesn't make friends easily per se even if she's relatively easy to work with, if a bit intense.

To anyone else, she's going to have come off as intense and a bit 'off.' It's like she spends too much time in the wilderness hunting things, so her social graces are lacking even if she knows 'how' to do them in theory.

Nanzi would have stayed in contact with the Seppun, so I can see some contact with Dawei if nothing substantial at least they have been in the same places a few times over the years.

Given her role with the burgeoning clan, I can see Nanzi staying contact to keep that line open.

Monkey will have kept contact with her fellow Ayakashi-folks who went different ways.
And with Sora, because he's an endless fountain of contrariness. xD

And of course, with Reiko to learn how to read/write.
And with Nanzi, as I imagine Saruko has close bonds with the Crane because of her interest in art.

In general she'd keep friendly relations with others who married the Kami, if possible, as she considers that some weird extended family.


Fellow Dragon-followers and those with an interest in storytelling and/or the arts the Kami are bringing are also a point of interest to her, so feel free to message for connections and ideas.

Agreed if you married a kami, consider Nanzi your family now, he is your brother or sister or your Nanzi, but he is there.

Well, from the last game, he was heavily invested in discovering Jade, and one of his goals was creating Jade Strike (not because he knows of it's anti-Sahdowland's powers, but because he's curious on Earth things). Also, was invited to Stag clan, but chose not to join (at least as of yet).

Also, we have the best parties.

All the past and present Hikaru and all the Ki-Rin and Nanzi are the obvious socialisation group for Koyama. Might be in touch with Anjing, because pig-headedness is a mutual attractor? Kolat ties might or might not survive, probably the former because of Jin?

Most of Koyama's time would probably be semi-cat herding of those Hikaru who joined Ki-Rin, hubbying, parenting, and learning to channel his inner dovahkiin.

Thing with joining the Stag is, he was created with really strong connections with the Isawa. Engaged to one of Isawa's nieces, studying under her father, who would be the first Master of Earth. So, hard to justify jumping like that. But, would you guys have kept in correspondence with him, then?

Someone would, yes.

Possibly The Seppun.

All possible ways one might have met/made a link with Wu? Perhaps

Possibility 1.

Wu was born in the Isawa but chose to leave due to certain circumstances and does not hold the tribe's leadership in high regards.

Possibility 2.

Following his exile he joined a travelling motley of a warband that acted as roaming bandit chasers and village defenders for several years.

Possibility 3.

Following the tournament he was busy finding his old warband buddies and establishing his school and helping villages in need with thos he could gather.

Possibility 4.

He probably visited the Seppun often, Seppun Satoka in particuliar, for advice or news.

He knows the secret of steel and designed a new spear for his school

I could see Jin and Kyosei having kept in some contact on the magical front since they had connected on that matter a bit in the last game. Doubt they're buddy buddy especially given distances and no mail system at this point in time but I could see a check in once a year or the like.

Reiko has visited every clan and tribe in the last five years - while much of that would have been spent with the kami of each clan, as a prophet of note and through spreading the word of Fu Leng she has likely met and spoke with many.

Those from the Isawa tribe likely know her the best, as she was from that tribe originally..
