Also a reminder that there is no penalty for failing (except maybe stealth/intimidate) so if you're unskilled still give it a go. 20 might be very rare on 2d10 but it is possible (let alone if your trait is higher).

If anyone with bad awareness but a rank or two in courtier wants to buff me, cool, otherwise I'll just yolo that.

For the other ones, I guess if there are any buffs floating, I'll take them, otherwise I'll just void for skill and wing it.

FWIW, unless some very particular circumstances apply, it's almost always more to one's numerical advantage to spend a Void Point for an extra rolled + kept die on an unskilled roll, than it is to spend the Void for a temporary skill rank.

The exceptions-proving-the-rule are things like "my Ring is so high I can already ace the roll unskilled without Void, so I want to have the skill and thus be able to call a Raise" or "even spending Void for 1k1 there is no way I'll hit this TN without an exploding 10 or two, so I will take the temporary skill rank to let my 10s explode if I roll one (and pray I get really lucky)."
