Heavenfall

We have player-created clans, we have a new version of Imperials, and we have folks starting new things in the canon clans!

I've compiled the official colors for the canon clans here, leaving open for the new ones. And if there's any changes to the canon ones too, we can add it here. It's a new work in progress!

Colors are now official, as per GM Canary

Bat: White, grey, ocean blue (ocean blue is based on Nazo's vision)
Crab: Gunmetal grey, blue, brickred
Crane: Sky blue, silver, white
Dragon: Emerald green, yellow
Lion: Yellows, earth tones
Scorpion: Blood red, black
Spider: Black, teal, gold
Stag: White, Brown/tan, gold
Ki-rin: purple, white

Imperial: Red, pale yellow or gold, violet (the color palette is meant to evoke a sunrise) - The Imperial symbol is now a Phoenix

Would the Phoenix not be less yellow/orange, and more gold/bronze?

I suspect Spider will be black, or black and green.

@Kyosei: Official Phoenix colors (as per Player's Guide from 2e, and Core rulebook of 3e. 4e didn't do an official listing of colors) are red, yellow, orange. I assume because those colors most closely depict fires and flames (and the phoenix/houhou is a firebirb).


@Reiko: If I could make a suggestion, I would say black, teal, gold. Black because spider. Teal only because that is the color I see on FuFu's clothing in his Dawn 1 avatar, and gold to give a complimenting accent (and fluff-wise, it could represent the holy light of Tengoku still shining upon him while he was trapped in Jigoku).

I know the colors of Phoenix clan - just saying that with Shiba being the Emperor, they might include more of a gold hue to them.

I was going off the colour we got assigned on Discord Black teal and gold sounds much better though

I mean, it's just a suggestion, and lots can still happen to the Spider in this game that changes the colors that suit them!

I'm just listing the official colors for those who have them and the decided colors for the new ones so far.

I guess any changes to Imperial/Feenix is up to Canary and/or the Imperial founders (Yuzuru, Jiyo, Chiyo)

3rd Edition Corebook lists the Bat's official color as Black. No secondary or tertiary colors, just black.

But this Bat Clan is vastly different than the Bat Minor Clan.

The mon is green,t hough I don't what edition it was in. Should Bat get Oriole's colors, perhaps?

Black and gray, I think, maybe with some white.

Black/grey/white is a nice combo. Would they be in that order, flipped around (making white the primary color?), or another order?

Disclaimer: Just my opinions, Birb has final say on most of these I assume.

If Spider gets Black and Gold as primary and tertiary colors, it can be a bit too overlapping with Stag having the same.

If I were to suggest colors for Stag, I'd be more in the same thinking as Dawei. A sandy brown or khaki. White I think also suits Stag well (because a deer often have white patches of color in their coat). Though gold making an appearance I think would also suit well, since it *is* Hantei after all.
