"Sort of... I am like an intermediary sort of speak. I try to keep people from killing her. She should be fine without me for a while. I suppose since she has survived for hundreds of winters or so she tells me."

"What about your teacher? Was he a spirit as well?" Inga kept an eye out for any movement. It was difficult to discern in the darkness of the night.

I'm not really capable of that and it was necessary for me to learn krissst human ways. Unmei, as one of our elders, was the most sshisss experienced with humans. He taught me what he could."
