Heavenfall

Ninube was a little hard to see as she made her way through the Wetlands.

She kept an eye out for the path forward.

Kinsen was trying to find where those steps out of the camp were going. They had found solid ground, for sure. But the person-thing walking in both feet was nowhere to be seen.

Makime Mineko also was searching for a path through the swamp. It still greatly bothered her that this swamp was not on the maps at all. Still she found herself searching for any logistical reason for it being here.

"Oh! Hi there!" Kinsen shouts to Mineko at the other side of the... pond?

Looking down to her feet, surrounded by the swamp, she shrugs. "Not sure how I get out of here without stepping in the water. Any clue?"

"Greetings." Mineko stated followed with a bow. "I was studying this terrain as it was not on any of our maps. It is possible our scouts missed it."

"No. It wasn't here before." Ninube called from a little ways away from the Hantei. She waves to the two samurai. "Hey, I'm Ninube of the Spider Clan."

"Hi! I'm Hantei Kinsen, from the Stag Clan. Honor to meet you." She shouts from her patch of land with a bow, and looks down, trying to find out how to walk towards one of them while avoiding getting wet.

"No. It wasn't here before." Ninube called from a little ways away from the Hantei. She waves to the two samurai. "Hey, I'm Ninube of the Spider Clan."

"I am Makime Mineko of clan Lion." she replied.

She shouts to the Hantei. "If you go back a little and go through those shrubs, you should find a path to make over to me." She turns to the Lion. "I haven't really checked out that side, can you make it over to us?"

Mineko looked for the path Ninube spoke of but it seemed a bit difficult to discern where to step next.

"I doubt that I can. I will try to poke the ground to see where there is stability to walk on."

Kinsen does as advised and manages to Ninube.

"So," She asks both of them along the way, "Were you both looking to map this out, or searching for something else?"

"Try that way." Ninube points to what looks might be a path. "But be careful, it is hard to tell from here."

She turns to the Hantei. "Well, I wasn't trying to make a map per say, but more just trying to find a good path for the caravans." She looks around. "Assuming the land will stay the same..."

"Assuming the land will stay the same?" Kinsen repeats her words incredulously.

Ninube shrugs. "Swamp wasn't here before. I remember Reiko saying Jigoku is affecting the land. Though I didn't think it was something quite like this." She shrugged again. This was something she could take in stride. "If you haven't heard, get some jade. It will protect you from Jigoku."

"This is definitely worrisome." She pouts her lips in thought. "Also, everyone is saying I should get this jade. I'll do so, Don't worry."

After a few blinks, she asks, "Do both of you have some?"

Ninube nods. "I have some." She then holds a green rock for the Hantei to see.

"Good!" Kinsen nods. "I hope we have enough for the whole expedition."
