She looked around them, curious if there were any dangers nearby. "I don't think so, but I'll gladly accept the company! Safety in numbers, they say, so we'll have eachothers' backs."

"But yes, don't be afraid to speak whatever is on your mind with Shinjo-Kami. She probably won't chastise you for it."

"I will take your word for it," she said. And soon enough she'd have the chance to test that, though not quite yet. That would come another day. For now, they needed to get back. Hefting the deer's carcass up, she started to thread her way back once Saruko was ready.

Picking up her basket, the Dragon woman easily rose back to her feet. In her other hand, she kept her staff ready in case something got the drop on them.

Which it thankfully did not.
