Starting back towards the camp. "Plenty of concerns, but also plenty of time to think about stuff. But when you've been at the hungry end of a predator's teeth you learn that they're just trying to survive. Everything in the wild is. All you can really do is appreciate the fact that they die so you can live."

"I tried for a while. Not enough energy from that. Always felt hungry and I needed my strength to lift my hammer if something dangerous happened," he replied. "Safer and better to have plenty of meat."

"Surviving alone requires you to keep calm. Plenty of stuff can get me angry, but most of the time it's better to just let stuff go. Scaring off dangerous animals is better than risking your life trying to kill them. Once they go there's no reason to keep after them. Bandits are different and take a bit more focused violence to stop them from hurting you again or going after others. But there's no point in getting upset over a bear doing what a bear does. They're not going to learn to do things differently."

Nobody cares if you can take 2 hours to explain why hitting your brother over the head because he stole your doll is right and correct.
