"You could always just eat plants?" Glancing at Taochusu's muscles "Well, most of us can, maybe not everyone."

"Surviving alone requires you to keep calm. Plenty of stuff can get me angry, but most of the time it's better to just let stuff go. Scaring off dangerous animals is better than risking your life trying to kill them. Once they go there's no reason to keep after them. Bandits are different and take a bit more focused violence to stop them from hurting you again or going after others. But there's no point in getting upset over a bear doing what a bear does. They're not going to learn to do things differently."

But, if you can do it with a really pithy sentence, well, then you can get away with whacking anyone. "

"Nah. He was my younger brother, but he was better at wrestling. I spent more time learning to play guqin with my mom and he spent most of his time with my uncle learning to fight," he says with a shrug. "He always wanted to be a warrior."
