[D3: LM: Open] Sticks and stones

[Inga]

"That is correct." She smiled. "That is the essence that lets the fortune teller read the future."

[Taochusu]

"Okay. But that means the spirits know the future? How it's going to happen and all that?"

[Inga]

"Spirits transcend this world. They can see beyond what we see. So in a way they can see the future." Inga explained. "Ir that is what I have been told."

[Taochusu]

"The world must look so much different from their eyes. I can't even imagine that."

[Inga]

"Yes, must be quite interesting." Inga smiled as she picked up.her bones and sticks. "It is quite mystical as you can change your fate."

[Taochusu]

"That could come in handy on a trip like this where we're supposed to be dealing with another world. No idea how that's gonna go."

[Inga]

"Yeah, I am hopeful that everything will be fine." She placed her things in her bag.

[Taochusu]

"That would be best," he agrees. "What have the spirits told you so far about this expedition?"

[Inga]

"So I did a divination and well... what I saw was that we might get lost if we let the illusions trick us... or something of the sort." Inga shrugged.

[Taochusu]

"Illusions? Well, I'll keep my eye out for that. But I guess that's the point though. Probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference, magic being what it is."

[Inga]

Inga nodded. "That is why must be vigilant as we travel. A big group like ours might call unwanted attention."

[Taochusu]

"Well, it calls unwanted attention, but it also scares off smaller threats," he says with a shrug. "Give and take."

[Inga]

"Yeah... Hopefully the bigger threats don't care about this caravan." She smiled as she picked a rock. She cleaned it up. "Perfect"

[Taochusu]

"What makes that rock perfect?" he asks curiously.

[Inga]

She looked at the stone and blew on it. "Size and shape... it is can roll and sit flat... it is small enough to fit in my pouch." She placed her hands on to of it. "See."

[Taochusu]

He nods at that. He didn't know why that was important, but he was not the expert in such things so it didn't really matter that he didn't understand why. "Makes sense that it needs to be small enough to carry around. Would be silly to try and carry around a giant stone."

[Inga]

"I have to do some stuff on it to be part of my divination kit." She nodded and stood up. "It is a small ritual to purify the stone."

[Taochusu]

"We used to do a purification ritual in my village. Dancing and music to purify the wounded or ill. Was led by the old man that handled that stuff," he said with a nod. "Everyone had to come out for it when we did it."

[Inga]

"Interesting... but this one has to do with elements. Might need some sand... water, fire and a fan... a big leaf might do." She nodded. "Baba Nana taught me how to cleanse them when one is not a spirit talker."

[Taochusu]

"Sand could be difficult here," he says, thinking about it for a moment. "Maybe by the river or one of the streams coming off of it. I've seen sand in streams coming from mountains."
