Taiko had been wandering the forested area for a little while now, seeking a perfect shaft for the yari he was making. It was pure chance that his eyes caught sight of a beam of sunlight that seemingly penetrated the canopy and exposed the small clearing.

A clearing with what appeared to be a gravestone.

Well dummy, are you going to leave that poor soul alone and neglected as well...you show like no respect for the dead do you...the least you could do is build it some shelter from the elements...

"Yes Taiko-chan, of course Taiko-chan..." Taiko mumbled to himself as he looked around to harvest some sticks and leaves to build a very small hut over the stone.

Taiko took his time with his creation, spending almost an hour making a small but sturdy and waterproof roof over the stone using sticks, leaves and vines to tie it all together.

Stepping back and looking over his work he nodded contentedly. It wasn't anything fancy, but unless someone took the time to knock it down it would hold against most inclement weather.

A shiver passes through Taiko, though he knows not why and puts it down to a fleeting breeze.

See, that wasn't so hard was it...If you put your mind to it you're even almost competent sometimes...SOMETIMES...

Until his sister's voice sends a different shiver through him, as usual. "Geez Tai-chan, don't you ever let up?" He teases the voice n his head as he pokes around the edges of the clearing for sticks.

"Who's Tai-chan?" The other, who had merely been watching, takes a bite out of a dried meat stick. Looking over, he holds out his other hand, holding another one. "Meat?"

Taiko jumps slightly as he is startled by the sudden appearance of another in the clearing.

"Who is it who wants to know?" He asks, obviously defensively, but taking no hostile actions yet.

"Oh, right. Kyosei. Of the Isawa Tribe. How do you do? Meat stick?" Again the food is offered. While the clothing seems dusty, the hand holding it is clean.

"Taiko, Ryoshun Taiko." He responds in return, taking a few steps closer to Kyosei and pointing to hinself.

Shaking his head at the offered food, Taiko relaxes slightly. "You with the expedition too then?"

Now comfortable in the presence of another travelling warrior, Taiko smiled.

"That is why we Bat have come as well. Although I imagine we'll see more use in support. Mai and I are smiths first, warriors second. I understand your people are quite noted metalworkers as well?"

"Oh, yes, some are. Myself, I work with stone, dirt, earth. All sorts of them." He put away the meat stick, and brushed his hand off on his sturdy looking clothes. "You are a metal worker, then? Any specialty?"

"Mostly weapons. I am merely a journeyman however, so am only now starting to create pieces of my own. Truth be told I had heard rumors of these allies of ours, these rat creatures and their metalwork being more advanced than ours."

He shrugs in acceptance. "I am not too proud to learn from the ways of others. Are you a sculptor then? I Am only starting to learn about things built for appearance rather than function."

"I try to work with stone in many ways. Some small sculptures. Stone knives I've made in the past. Haven't really constructed any houses, but I'm thinking of learning about it."
