[Day 3 Late Afternoon] Raiding the Castle....Tower

[Seidou Satone]

Satone saw the old abandon structure on their march in and it had peaked her interest.

"Hmm, it is an old building, and well worn. Crumbled in spots. We are going to have to climb it somehow to truly explore it."

She says to Haruyo as they walk together.

[Hanzou]

There was a small man, standing alone, staring up at the platform.

[Reo]

"So...that would be a nice vantage point." Reo looks up at the tower. "You could rain death nicely from there."

[Hanzou]

"Hmmm...? Oh, yeah scract you could see a lot up there." Hanzou agreed looking around at the others. "We just need to get chirt up there."

[Seidou Satone]

"Chirt?"

Satone raises an eyebrow.

"I do agree that it would be good to expore it and use the height as a vantage."

[Hanzou]

"skweee there has to be a way up there." His eyes studied the platform and the tree.

[Seidou Satone]

Satone takes a half step back from the man, and motions for Haruyo to do the same.

"Uh, what's wrong with your speech?"

She grips the handle of her large hammer a bit tighter and her stance shifts to more defensive.

[Hanzou]

He looks confused. "My scees speech?"

[Seidou Satone]

Her hands tighten a bit more and she lifts the hammer slightly.

"You keep adding noises in between your words. Are you mad?"

[Hanzou]

"screek... Oh! It's my mother's shrik language." He explained. "It comes out srisss sometimes. But, I don't really shreekikik hear it."

[Seidou Satone]

Satone eases her posture a little.

"Your mothers tongue? What was she?"

[Hanzou]

"Koumori." he answered. "A spirit guardian srich."

[Seidou Satone]

And that made her tense back up again and she looks to her charge so see if Haruyo could sense anything odd.

"Mm. I see."

"My apologies. I was warned it chich might annoy others."he dipped his head. "Unfortunately, I only hear the snikt words I intend to say."

[Seidou Satone]

"It doesn't annoy me. It concerns me. Sets off warnings you may be dangerous. I've heard stories of monsters taking human form. Oddities like yours make it difficult to trust."

[Hanzou]

He shrugged. "Those stories are treeet true. They are why my people sti keep their distance. It's difficult for humans to see the difference between friends and kriik threats."

[Seidou Satone]

"Well, you do seem friendly enough, but I'd prefer once we start our ascent you allow one of us up first. Can't take the risk of you dropping a rope for us just to unhook it and let us fall part way up, after all. You understand, no?"

The offense her words would give seem to not even register to Satone

[Hanzou]

"Sure." he agreed. "That's treesh acceptable."

At the top, peaking over the edge, he sees a coil of what might be rope. It looks like whoever owned this didn't want anyone coming up after they left.

[Seidou Haruyo]

Haruyo stood nearby, holding her walking stick firmly into the ground and feeling the air around them. How sturdy the ground was, she thought and wondered to a thought but held from it for now. Standing here she broke from her thought and listened into the conversation occasionally but didn't intrude just yet, keeping to her own thoughts for the moment.
