The Brave Warrior shook his head in confusion. These hoomans and their primitive language... 'Object' able... He thinks slaves are a thing? That or his puny mind must not be able to comprehend the logistical needs of our vast empire.

"They not object. They live-live, no statue. They kill you if you no ready."

Dawei looks at the Nezumi, and his eyes narrow.

He tilted his head.

What a perplexing and altogether obnoxious little creature. He appears to be threatening me... I should sever that hairless cranium from his torso with my incisors... But no, my independence depends on my ability to act in an amicable manner. Severing pink-skins heads will have to wait.

"If you want die by big-horned-slaves I no stop you... If you no want die... need bigger knife."

"Possibly."

They're slavers, then. Maybe we ought to let them die.

He continues his carving.

"You will see-see." He replied simply.

Only the prideful do not listen to those who Remember... This one appears to be meandering lackadaisically along the path of pain.

Dawei continues carving.

Interestingly, it is the shape of a Nezumi that begins to emerge from the wood (Woodcarving 32).

Dawei looks at the piece. "Huh. Odd."

The rat squinted at the object from a distance but said nothing before he turned back towards the woods and started to move away slowly.

Dawei looks up as the Nezumi makes to depart.

This is going to be a long journey.
