Heavenfall

There were just too many people. He couldn't hear himself think in the city. An angry ghost could have easily snuck up on anyone in all of that chaos. Hanzou understood now why Unmei and the others stayed so far away from the tribes.

These farms were quieter, though. Some peace could be found out here. He just needed to sit for a short time and clear his mind.

A short distance away, a simply robed man with a staff sat down at a polite distance and closed his own eyes as well, focusing his senses and letting the world around him come into brilliant focus.

Having finally found some sense of himself, Hanzou opened his eyes and looked out over the fields.

"So this is a farm, skic."

Opening his own eyes, Ishiza replied simply.

"You are unfamiliar with them?"

He shook his head. "We forage from the skreee forest for whatever we need. But, there isn't much forest here."

Ishiza nodded.

"I expect there will be less, the further south we go. I'm Ishiza," he offered by way of introduction, not commenting immediately on the unusual speech.

"I'm Hanzou screeech." he smiled. "I've never been this far."

"I doubt many have. It's certainly the farthest I've been. Where are you from, Hanzou?" Ishiza asked.

"I come from Chinsei lands...well, Chinsei, Bayushi. A bit of both now, I suppose."

"North of here. By seeikk the great forest. In a small valley eeesh." he answered. "What is kree Bayushi?"

"One of the children who fell from the stars...a god, by all intents and purposes. He settled near the Chinsei lands," he replied casually.

"Is your speech pattern a result of your upbringing? Others from the great forest speak this way? I haven't encountered it as such," he said, finally unable to avoid the issue any longer.

"Oh, one of them shiek." he nodded in understanding. "I don't know most of their scriee names, just Ryoshun."

He shook his head to the other question. "Most sirk speak other languages."

"Other languages? Dialects you mean? Differences among tribe?" he said, still unsure.

"I haven't met Ryoshun myself - what do you think of him?"

He shrugged. "I striickt only know what I've been told. He's patient, only acting when skriesss the time is right. He is content to chirrr remain in Meido, but worries over his family, his followers and this realm."
