Packing for the Expedition [Day 1]
Posted: Tue May 19, 2020 1:25 pm
It’s time to get ready to pack up and get the expedition going! The quartermasters of the Seidou are ready to help, dashing around the growing and increasingly fortified settlement all over. They could undoubtedly use a little bit of help, and as someone going on the expedition, you know your specific needs for the trip better than anyone.
Better get cracking if you want to get going on time!
Location: Courtyard
Participants: Unlimited
Time: Players may roll for this event any time between EM and LE, and may roll for it in other threads. If you take this option, please create a post in this thread with links to the posts containing your rolls for this event. Consolidate all links into one post if you spread your rolls over multiple threads during the day.
Rules:
Characters may make one each of the three rolls below. A character may sacrifice any or all of their rolls to help another character using the first set of rules for cooperative rolls on page 81 of the Core Rulebook.
What do we need?: The first thing that needs to be sorted out is what and how much everyone will need, and how much can be gathered along the way. There’s hope that some trading can be done, but the Seidou suspect the Rats are just as likely to try and take you prisoner as actually trade. Players may make a Commerce (Mathematics)/Intelligence roll at TN 20. A success grants 1 Provision Point, plus 1 for each successful raise.
Organizing the effort: People can’t just go running around with their heads cut off! They need someone to organize the effort and make sure everything gets where it needs to go. To take charge, a characyer may make a Courtier (Manipulation)/Awareness or an Intimidate (Control)/Willpower roll at TN 20. A success grants 1 Provision Point, plus 1 for each successful raise.
Gathering the rest: The party needs some extra items such as extra food, reeds, and other components to make their gathering efforts complete. Characters may make a Hunting (Survival)/Perception or Stealth (Sneaking)/Agility roll at TN 20. A success grants 1 Provision Point, plus 1 for each successful raise.
Rewards and Consequences:
If the characters gain 30 or more Provision Points in this Event, they gain 10 Purity Points. If they gain 60 or more Provision Points, they gain 20 Purity Points.
If characters gain less than 30 Provision Points, they lose 10 Purity Points. If they gain less than 15 Provision Points, they lose 20 Purity Points.
Using Low skills to acquire points might have unexpected consequences in future events.
