"The divine truths laid out by Shiba, first of his name," he said confidently.

She nodded, but seemed more cautious in her expression. "I have faith in Emperor Shiba, and his siblings. But I believe also that Fortunes favor the mortal man."

"But," she smiled again, "we're going to have an early start tomorrow. We should all get some rest."

"Then sleep well old friend, Nanzi is glad to have you here," he said in response.

"As I am to have you here as well, friend Nanzi. Sleep well."

She gave him a bow, and stepped away to return to her room.
