She gave a sigh at that, then spoke up more slowly, with a even tone. "I have enough for what I would consider a normal journey. I just arrived here, and with the danger I suspect is ahead, I have no wish to go off on my own and scout. You are the second person I've spoken to in the area, and both you and the previous were from other tribes. Not that many of the locals seem to be joining us on our expedition besides."

Umeno paused, downing the last of her drink and setting her cup down. "I will certainly figure out all that I can, and if I learn stuff, I'd happily let you know. Still, if you wanted information, wouldn't that tribe's mate of yours be a far better source than I would?"

"Reiko? She has left the tribe, now. I fulfill my vow, but speaking to her has become... political. Not as useful as I might wish. I apologize if I offended. I didn't mean to." He gives a nod of his head.

Umeno grunted. "Not offended, just not certain what exactly you expect from me. I've done all I can, learned all I could, but it's all not much."

The girl paused and smirked. "I enjoyed sharing a meal with you, and a non-political talk, if that's how you saw it."

Kyosei nods, his mouth smiling on one side. "Perhaps we can share a meal on the road, as we travel. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day."

Umeno nodded, turning and making her way out brusquely.
