The Crane contingent were still here, Nanzi in elegant uniform, though all three were well groomed and dressed even given the conditions. Jigutsuji was ready to take notes and Jongwun ready to look fierce even with the nightmares accosting her, though less so after smoking the herb and such.

The young scholar was rather keen to make sure he captured this moment in verse, while Jongwun was keen to remember it in her mind’s eye, a stilled image etched there for eternity. Maybe she would ask Jigutsuji for something to sketch on later.

They had made it this far. Made it, somehow, without any deaths even. A fact that astounded Jin as much as it pleased him. But he knew that luck could not last - they were fight a realm of evil... some of them, perhaps, on its own turf. The price of saving the fledgling empire, and this realm, was still likely to be paid in bodies and souls. As abhorrent as that concept was to Jin he knew he needed to aid in that endeavor however he could - to ensure the smallest possible price was paid for their success.

Sora had changed after the earlier meeting, and arrived in his more customary rough and ready Hikaru-styled attire, although it, too was in Imperial colors.

Again, Kinyôbi followed behind him, ready to take notes.

In spite of the earlier letters he had left for those back home, Sora had hastily scribbled another in a similar vein, and had told Kinyôbi that if things went poorly, she was to take the letter, stick close to the Nezumi and do her damnedest to get herself and it home, in that order of priority.

My life, my soul, for the Empire.

Reiko hadn't left the area. Being almost blind, it was a bad idea to keep coming and going, and it was just easier for her to remain in one area. So she was already here when the others returned, giving them a smile and a bow.

The big guy had no real input on the earlier discussion, but of this one, he was willing to offer his help. He didn't know a lot about all that mystical stuff but if they needed muscle and a hammer he could be useful.

Still taking notes, Wu was there.

by Kyosei of the Isawa
Still carrying his large piece of jade, Kyosei again took a seat near the outer edges. He was still slowly working the piece, which was starting to look like more than a blob of stone. Not completely obviously, but there were now edges to it, and a formed curve at one end, instead of just random curves.

Satone was still in the tent, ready to speak up now that the Nezumi had left, a look of determination set on her hard face.

Reo has chosen to stay as well, looking decidedly uncomfortable, but stoic.

I didn't come all this way to be left out at the very end.

Inga stayed perhaps she moved closer to listen better what it will be said. She had picked up a stone and started playing with it. Some people might find her play distracting other wouldn't even care that she is there.

Hanzou was still there, still listening and still hoping to learn where he might be useful. He wasn't a follower of any Kami, yet, and held no real influence over the discussion. He had little to say. But, if any of his knowledge or talents might be useful, he'd speak up.

Ko was a sturdy presence amid the group, arms crossed and head held high.

Hantei would have his wife at his side, looking over the plans carefully and waiting for the proper moment to speak.

Kanna, as was now her habit, stood right behind Reiko, watching everyone cautiously. It likely wasn't fair to treat everyone like they could be an enemy... but she was not going to risk it.

There was something in the air. Something that called to the pair. Well, from what they learned, likely called to Matsu. Yamadono wouldn't let her go alone. The two warriors found themselves in the tent, staying near their kin. Both of their cloaks drawn over their bodies, hats pulled back to hang by chords from their necks.

Matsu nervously was running a hand over a piece of Jade on her necklace, while the large man kepr a steady hand on her shoulder.

Saruko had simply remained in the tent at the conclusion of the previous issue, hands still hard at work with the needle and thread. The symbol of a stag was taking shape on the cloth.
