Heavenfall

Kinsen prepared the main tents that the Kami were living in a common area sheltered from the sticky rain drops. She had asked all the Seppun around to get into contact with the other folks in the expedition that weren't aware of the purification ritual Shinsei had explained previously. Hopefully, they could share some stories like the other nights, along with getting purified for a tranquil and harmonious sleep with the help of the Little Teacher's wisdom.

Chisei was there, assisting with the preparation for the herbs. He used a stone to grind them together, if not with an agile hand, at least a practiced one.

He gave Kinsen a gentle smile as he worked, but he didn't speak.

This party couldn't have not had Koyama in it. He had brewed some impromptu hallucinogenic beer he wanted everyone to have at least a dip of. Nothing can get you as high as a Higlander's fantastic yeasts.

While the herbs were being carefully prepared by the Seppun's holy hands, Kinsen comes closer to Koyama and inclines her head to see what he brought to share.

Koyama smirked, already a bit affected, and poured some into the cup from his beer skin, then gave it to Kinsen.

Kinsen wrinkles her nose up in a grin, and salutes with a, "Kampai. To going to Jigoku and coming back."

The Stag wife takes an elegant sip, then bows, and goes near the entrance to peek if others would be joining.

The Shinjo sisters arrived, herbs in hand. Miuna spotted Kinsen and wandered over, holding out the herbs to her. Aono bowed to her in greeting. "Thank you for hosting, Kinsen-sama," her smile was warm but it was obvious from the girls' faces that they were really hoping for a decent night's rest. They bowed slightly to both Koyama and Chisei. Miuna yawned and went to sit down, interested to see what was going to happen.

Hanzou arrived and handed over the extra herbs he had gathered. He seemed weary and troubled, but he smiled warmly when he saw Miuna. He greeted her and Aono and sat with them.

'Kampai' rang odd to Koyama as it sounded awfully like Kami-speek but he didn't mind. Having smirked at Kinsen, he approached the others with offers of spiked young beer.

"Oh! Thank you Miuna-chan." Kinsen says sweetly, as the beer already punched her brain with rainbow knuckles.

"Welcome, please. Shinjo-sama has some delicious beverage, if you would." She bows to both and takes the offering to place it with Chisei, since he was working out the whole preparation process.

As Hanzou arrives, Kinsen nods to him as well from afar, expecting him to feel welcomed.

The Crab shugenja came by to visit as well, with a small basket full of fried mushrooms.

"TrY oNe, ThEy'Re GoOd," the Crab said, offering to share. "EaTiNg oNe WiLl MaKe YoU fEeL aT oNe wItH tHe UnIvErSe. JuSt OnE tHoUgH, tOo MaNy CaN mAkE yOu SiCk." He grinned blissfully.

"Thank you, Kinsen-sama." Chisei murmured, as she brought him more herbs. He inclined his head to the group. "And thank all of you for coming, as well. Troubled sleep is one more enemy we shall defeat together, eh?" He began to sort out the herbal mixture into appropriately-sized proportions.

"Ah..." Chisei frowned at the mushrooms offered by the newcomer. "Did Shinsei suggest to you to gather these? Or are they, uh, a personal remedy?"

Miuna gently took Hanzou's hand when he sat down beside her. Wearily, she eyed the Mushroom Man.

He gave her hand a gentle squeeze when she took his. And then, he accepted a mushroom. He had some familiarity with what would be safe. Hopefully the man offering them did as well.

"ShInSeI? nO, No, i FoUnD tHeM mYSeLf, bUt ThEy ArE qUiTe ExCeLLenT fOr MeNtAl FoCuS," the Crab replied in a rambling tone.

Nori smiled as Hanzou sampled a mushroom. "ThEy'Re BuTTeRed aNd FrIeD wItH a HiNT oF sAnCHo PePPer," he said proudly.

Having heard the message about a potential treatment for the nightmares she had been experiencing over the past night, Miyako soon arrived at the tents to see what it was all about. To her surprise, there was already quite a number of people already there at this party, but she had come prepared for that just in case.

"Hello everyone..." she greeted to those assembled "... I brought a skin of berry-wine if anyone wants to add some of this herb stuff to it," she added, smiling as she held out a wineskin to add to the most necessary of supplies for this whole endeavor.

Chisei smiled. "That sounds rather nice, actually." He looked around at the assembled group. "If anyone hasn't tried her wine, I can't recommend it enough."

He cleared his throat. "I may try a mushroom, but perhaps not right now. Do you think you'll be able to sleep properly when you're one with the universe?"

The tribeswoman positively beamed at having the Seppun from the other night talk up the Chinsei berry-wine. "And you will be honored with the first pour then!" she said, uncapping the wineskin and pouring for Chisei a cup almost nearly to the rim, leaving just enough room after taking the first sip for the addition of some extra-special-herb-and-spice. She looked quickly to the left and right when she heard of the mushrooms.

"Mushroom? Someone has cooked some? What kind are they? I love a good mushroom!"

"Oh..." Chisei gave the cup a mildly daunted look. "Well, I suppose I'll be sleeping quite well tonight, one way or another."

He took that first sip, as he nodded to the Yoshitsune not far away. "Right there, the one with... errrr..." After a few moments of consideration, Chisei made a vague swirling gesture at his own face. "Don't overdo it." He cautioned.

He slid the crushed herbs forward, making them generally available. "Please. Try some." Chisei said, smiling gently.

Koyama would offer his beer at least once to everyone who came to the party, then he would settle to enjoy it himself, having company for it or not.
