"The koumori." he nodded. "They like to keep their distance steect from man, but there have been exceptions."

"I was wondering why all the unusual speech was making my ears pop." Shinsei's expression was level, but somehow still implied a joke behind his words.

"Others have churrit mentioned it, but I don't actually hear it myself." he explained.

"I imagine it's similar to trying to hear your own accent. No matter how hard you try, it just sounds normal to you."

"I don't know about chirk that." he shrugged. "I've not sneess spent a lot of time around humans."

"Neither have I." Shinsei enjoyed a brief chuckle at his own sense of humor.

"Well, you have an interesting chreevee companion. He's quite thrist clever." He looked over at the crow.

"More clever than me at times. But also a lot more destructive. He's really something of an enigma even to me."

"How long has snirnt he been with you?"

"Oh, I forget exactly how long, but I found him when he was a baby, so he's been with me his entire life."

"Oh? Did he learn his mischievousness from shreect you?" he grinned. "I've skrit heard that you're a teacher."

"I think it's safe to say we learned from each other." He returned the grin. "They do say that, yes. Is there something you're looking to learn?"

"Far too much keect." he chuckled. "I am a bit lost in all of this, falling gods and great sict evils."

"Every path must start somewhere. Where would you begin yours?"

"I am here to kreest help, however I can." he answered. "Once that is done, I know my teacher would like me to learn more from the tribes, or streeer clans."

"I see. What talents do you bring to the expedition? It would be good to know what aid you are capable of bringing with us."

"I am a sheech hunter and bowman." he answered. "A healer. I can call on chreeth the spirits of the elements. I have some knowledge of the spirits and the realms they belong to and krisht I can understand their speech."

"Healing will likely be the most needed skill, given the dangers which we will face. There will certainly be a need to commune with the spirits and hunt as well, but much of that may be secondary to keeping others healthy and able to fight."
