Re: [D3-LA]Cooking for the Spider(expecting)

"You don't want it too sharp or the edge will curl and chip. At the same time, too dull is dangerous. You use a carving knife to sharpen it."

"So the point is relaxing, not getting clean? That's interesting." Mai seemed interested in the prospect.
"Find out all you can about each Clan. See where you would fit in best."

Re: [D3 LM] One fish, two fish (open)
"I missed out on the hot bath. I wanted to go but unfortunately I was working and I don't think they want sawdust in their fancy warm water. I would like to do some adventuring myself, but eventually all must find a place to base their operations. Now, they don't necessarily have to stay there. Plen...

Re: [D3-EA]Finding an owner(open, expecting)
Wooden curls were stripped away as she rasped a bronze knife along the flattened sides. "It'll be an Aiguchi. I am going to use the remaining teeth along the edge. Though, a wooden knife is still able to stab and cut if made properly."

Re: [D3-EM]The perfect stick(open)
"A Clan that valued the freedoms of choice and decision suited me best too. It helped that the Bat were local, but if they had stifling rules and didn't allow for invention, I would have journeyed to find better."

Re: [D3 LM] One fish, two fish (open)
"I don't know if the whole expedition will survive, but I suspect you are clever enough to return wherever you decide to settle. I have no intention over dying easily nor venturing too far alone anywhere potentially unsafe. So unless the entire expeditionary force is wiped out, we will live."

Re: [D3-EA]Finding an owner(open, expecting)
After a few minutes as soon as was polite, Mai would sit down to carve away at a stick. She was comfortable with an audience if there were any questions. This one was about a foot long, two inches across and somewhat flat.

Re: [D3-EM]The perfect stick(open)
"I don't think you would like Lady Doji from what I know of you, and what I have heard of her. She is all about decorum and courtly things. Making things difficult with ambiguous words and ceremonies they really don't need. Though the Bat and Crane both deal in the arts and crafting we lean towards ...

"Life sounds very hard for a wanderer. You really would be safer in a Clan, and in return could keep people safe. You would also get a chance to think about a future. Sure it isn't always safe or uneventful but it might be beneficial."

"Yes, twice. One dead, the other not so dead. Luckily, the hunting party was nearby for the second and it was nowhere near as large as the first. The second was wandering nearly into the village. Rather scrawny, too."

She laughed, "I like to cook and to fish. My favorite foods to eat are those little striped ones in the mountain streams (OOC:Trout,) spicy things, and pickled root vegetables. I like to hear of far away places, and what creatures exist out there."

Re: [D3-EA]Finding an owner(open, expecting)
"Your tonfa is a tad more defensive, yes? This weapon leans towards offense. Perhaps, for this mission you may wish to bring this with you in case the need arise. I am sure you can grow into bringing out it's full potential." "My clan both invents new forms and perfects those already existing. Somet...
