With the new languages, is the Language of the Kami the language of heavens, that the Kami might speak among themselves, or the language shugenja would use to cast spells, and in Communes?

I could see Jin and Kyosei having kept in some contact on the magical front since they had connected on that matter a bit in the last game. Doubt they're buddy buddy especially given distances and no mail system at this point in time but I could see a check in once a year or the like. Sounds reason...

Thing with joining the Stag is, he was created with really strong connections with the Isawa. Engaged to one of Isawa's nieces, studying under her father, who would be the first Master of Earth. So, hard to justify jumping like that. But, would you guys have kept in correspondence with him, then?

Well, from the last game, he was heavily invested in discovering Jade, and one of his goals was creating Jade Strike (not because he knows of it's anti-Sahdowland's powers, but because he's curious on Earth things). Also, was invited to Stag clan, but chose not to join (at least as of yet).

Kyosei has spent the time in between in Isawa lands. Not sure who might have been in contact there.

I know the colors of Phoenix clan - just saying that with Shiba being the Emperor, they might include more of a gold hue to them.

Would the Phoenix not be less yellow/orange, and more gold/bronze?

Uh, the piece is only about 6 inches by 4 inches by maybe 23 inches. At least, starting out. Had other plans in mind for it.

Kyosei actually has been slowly carving the same piece for the last five years.

Mind you, making sure a piece of jade of that quality is done right is quite important.

Tunnels? Kyosei knows tunnels! They seem a bit small, though. Perhaps brace them there and there... a chamber at that point would be good...
