Re: Phee Phi Pho Phum - Phi Q&A

It wasn't something I really thought about until the end. She was conceived as a loner, but others like Phi helped her open up over the course of the game. You know she'll always keep an eye out for danger. If anyone would confront Bayushi bluntly if Shadow shenanigans were afoot, it'd be Umeno. :)...

"It's... going to be a little different, but I had no idea." That was... a different kind of hell. Living next to someone who... and she knew for a fact exactly who he meant. The man's reputation as being a close confidante of the Emperor's children meant... yeah. 'Awkward' didn't even begin to desc...

Re: Phee Phi Pho Phum - Phi Q&A

Some of us never interacted with a god all game. Well, had ONE talk with Shinsei, but that was a super human feeling talk besides (not that he isn't anyway). I feel like maybe that was Umeno's role with Phi, and in the setting as well, a bit of a grounding on humanity and common sense for her. Thou...

Re: The Brotherhood - Order of Heroes (Approved)

I wonder... instead of having the guqin be buried/burned with you if it might make more sense for someone to keep it and have it take an honorary place at one of the early shrines. I would actually be 100% fine with this. However, this is where I'm going to note that if it takes up residence in the...

"We didn't talk as much as I would have liked... but yeah. I think that's a good way to describe him. He thought of other folks a lot more than he ever thought of himself. I think he'd be happier among us, but I hope in Meido he gets the peace of knowing that he was one of only two to go on ahead, a...

I am very much looking forward to seeing some of the other stuff we see come up from everyone. There's about 100 points roaming around before people burn dark fates and great destinies, so there is bound to be some interesting stuff.

"They all deserved better than they got. But at least we avenged them, made sure those things didn't hurt anyone else." She raised an eyebrow at that. "But what do you mean by 'gave him context?' You been holding out on me somewhere, Sora?" Admittedly, unlike Koyama, she hadn't known the old man qui...

She grunted and nodded, letting it stop there. She was mad, but she wasn't that mad. "We haven't lost hope, so you know. I... just didn't want to tell him until after the battle. Didn't need both our heads out of the game at all. But we have hope. We don't need... we don't need any of them to know. ...

Re: The Brotherhood - Order of Heroes (Approved)

I could imagine Taochusu's soul going through it's cycles on the wheel, each time being identified by the order and pushed to some feat. And in time that soul being purified into the eventual Fortune of Heroes and getting adopted by the Order. All with the only one knowing the truth being Emma-O. P...

Re: Ayumu - The dark truth

Not decided yet about reusing him or not. My incentive at the moment is that Ayumu has been tainted through the course of the game, and the evolution of that would be interesting to explore, especially as his calm personality and already weird appearance would make the infection quite hard to ident...

Re: The Brotherhood - Order of Heroes (Approved)

We left the emphasis out this time, mostly because Shinseism and Fortunism are still forming things. Once the Tao is penned, in whatever form it takes, I expect that later stages of the Orders will include the emphasis normally. Bit by bit, step by step.

She smiled at him in the innocent way that a child might, if that child was a walking murder machine with skin as pale as a ghost and eyes the color of blood. She walked right up to him, her left fist coming balled up and going for the gut right before her right went for the face in a smart smack. "...

The canon Shiba inheritance system was daddy sword choosing the best heir among the siblings regardless of age, so definitely.
And sometimes it was someone random and unexpected. As I recall, Ujimitsu himself was a rather big surprise in canon.

Re: The Brotherhood - Order of Heroes (Approved)

More Brotherhood is more funner! It made the most sense to me for implementing a legacy. Making their sacrifices into a teachable moment for other potential would-be heroes. I kind of enjoyed making the rules of the order about lying be more ... fluid to embellishments. Phi liked taochusu's storyte...

This is awesome you two! <3 It will for sure be welcome in Saru lands. Oh yes. That's definitely good. We conceived that, because a lot of Shinsei and Nozomi's early journeys take them to Saru lands and Imperial lands, and because of the focus on the empire as a whole, their 'bases of operation' wo...

Re: Last Son of the Chusu (Taochusu)

Taochusu's a man who proves the plain and simple fact: Techniques are good but sometimes all you need is raw guts. He was a tough sunnuva python. And I'm glad we got the scenes together.

I'm curious. Did anything inspire you in creating him?

I know that TPO Jiyo has already worked out that one daughter goes into the Yuzuru, one takes the Shiba name, and the others are Jiyo.
That would make a certain amount of sense. I have a suspicion that the Shiba line may be more "meritorious" based than first-born.

"Fascinating things indeed. There's farmland out here, and the three week old remains of Miyako and my campsite," came a grunt from the undergrowth. She did like skulking around almost as much as he did at times. A rustle of the patties and Phi emerged, stepping up and onto the roads, brushing the d...

Re: Phee Phi Pho Phum - Phi Q&A

I do wonder how the Shiba dynasty is going to handle succession, especially since he has five daughters all before the war even kicks off... I believe that succession of the Divine Princess is going to be a more complicated, but hopefully more peaceful situation than it sometimes was with the Hante...
