Re: Looting *cough* Archeology (Day 11 EE)

What she ultimately finds is a broken shard of metal, possibly from some blade broken long ago, but the appearance is strange... It looks as if the metal has been folded over itself multiple times in a row. [Ninube has found a scrap of folded metal, which could greatly impact forging techniques with...

Ninube notices the Dragon. "Hey, Wu-sama. What'cha up to?" She bows and then approaches slowly, offering up a piece of jade to conduct the test.
As Ninube turns towards the newcomer, something glints from within the dirt nearby, catching her attention.

Re: [Day 11, Early Night] Willow and Stone (Expecting, Closed)

Without warning, half Sora's vision goes briefly fuzzy, and he knows well by know which half is the trouble child. At first nothing seems to happen, everything appears perfectly normal and unaffected. But then Koyama begins to scream. He screams with an inhuman agony so profound that Sora can pract...

Re: [Day 11, Early Evening] The Fine Art of Diplomacy (Expecting)

T'tok chattered to herself briefly, thinking hard. "Carved it? Then it began to act without magic..." She paused again, excited. "I know of this! It is strange, uncommon, but it must be Aware-Of-Own-Name! Sometimes things made with great care know themselves, become stronger! It is hard to predict, ...

Re: [Day 11, Early Evening] The Fine Art of Diplomacy (Expecting)

Another silence, followed by excited chittering. "Truly? Where did this human find such a thing?" There was more excited noise, but it seemed only to come from T'tok, as if Ch'chit were hearing only her side of another conversation. "I will ask, I will ask. My love, where are you now? Have you achie...

There was a hesitant pause, then...

"Ch'chit? Ch'chit is that you? Where are you? I cannot see you!"

With another quick shiver, the figurine changes to the image, and scent, of the Rememberer.

The statue, for the time being, even smells uncannily like Ch'chit T'kkiri, something the nose blind humans wouldn't be aware of.

Re: D11EE, Contemplating Work Done (Closed)

At the utterance of the name the carving, at least to Dawei's eye, seems to shiver in place, and suddenly looks like a realistic interpretation of Ch'chit T'kkiri.

Re: GM Questions

Hm. Now that the river is highly suspect, where are we getting our drinking/cooking/washing water? Do we need to carry it with us along with supplies? Or are we handwaving still being able to reliably find enough somewhere? That's mostly a RP question, I'm not suggesting it necessarily needs a mech...

Re: [LA 11] - Ride Like the Wind

Shinsei's pulse is faint, but present, but his chest is not moving enough to properly maintain his body. Something will have to move the breath through his lungs in order to restore him, but it is possible. Many of his deepest injuries are dangerously close to vital arteries. [Medicine TN 30 to stab...

Re: [LA 11] - Ride Like the Wind

The trail of blood and destruction finally ends near a neatly severed section of ancient wall lying on the ground. Rubble and refuse lie everywhere, as if they were scattered by a maelstrom. Scraps of cloth rest in tatters about a forearm which peeks out from beneath the fallen stone, a chipped jade...

Re: [LA 11] - Ride Like the Wind

The closer they came to the ruins, the more extensive the damage, and the more plentiful the stains of blood, none of which seemed particularly fresh. The true horrors of the battle didn't become apparent until the pair crossed into the ruins themselves. Stones which had endured untold ages were fre...

Re: [LA 11] - Ride Like the Wind

The signs of fighting grow thicker and more pronounced, until a vague shadow appears on the horizon. Shinsei's trail continues onwards in that direction, the outlying damage becoming so significant that tracking is no longer an issue. Just as the shadow begins to coalesce into the shape of a ruined ...

Re: [LA 11] - Ride Like the Wind

Unfortunately the path wallowed in many places, costing precious time as whatever battle that had occurred began winding its way in random directions, growing fiercer with every step Phi traced. No matter where she looked, though, there were no signs of Shinsei's enemy beyond the damage it seemingly...

Re: [LA 11] - Ride Like the Wind

After a few minutes of travel the path suddenly gets erratic, and minor signs of damage began appearing along Shinsei's path of travel; nothing more than tufts of grass and divots of dirt here and there, most of them hidden by natural terrain features. [Hunting TN 25] The jade shows no signs of decay.

Re: [LA 11] - Ride Like the Wind

Just beside the crow are signs of human passage. At this point it seems that Shinsei is making no effort whatsoever to conceal his path of travel. Karasu still looks disoriented, and takes up a position on Shinjo's flank, letting Phi take the lead in tracking.

Re: [D 11 LE] Something Wonderful

Reo shakes his hands, cleaning himself off. He reaches into his pack, pulling out a length of straw twine. There's someone new now, calling out to him. Reo begins to weave a handle onto the mandible, something so people would not have to grip it directly. Fashion a handle for the mandible, Soul of ...
