Re: Destined? Are you sure?[D24, LA, expecting]

"That could be. And, that all of those on mountains had great destinies, I can believe that. But, something else I could tell. Which is, everyone on those mountains was easy to see, and to find. Ah, I wouldn't mention this, save I heard rumors of some... well, my tent wasn't too far from yours the n...

"Now that is also a truth. Even my earliest efforts were interesting. And, I take my time. I know I've less skill than I could, so I take more time, go slower, do it right. Practice on other pieces first, before the important piece."

"Stone, yes. Jade most recently, but also Obsidian, and also regular old stone. I run a mine, used to work in it. Learned a bit there. Not as skilled as I'd like, but carving the stone takes time, and the one thing in short supply in life, I've found, is time."

"I have to head home very soon. I've been away for quite some time."

He raises slightly in the water. "Carving? What sort do you do?"

Don't forget Hantei Genji lasted some 400 or so years. Simillarly with Togashi Hoshi. Long life in the second generation is also a thing.

Re: D24LM, Bathing (assuming it's open, Open)

"Good morning to you! Ah, this feels so good." He sinks down into the water to his neck, and rests a moment. "So, we did it. The next question, then, is 'now what?' Have you plans?"

Re: Destined? Are you sure?[D24, LA, expecting]

When you were looking at each, to examine them to go into the depths, did all of those you looked into also get a vision? For I, who have never been terribly oracularly inclined, saw something. I saw you, on the top of a tall mountain, looking around. Others, also, like the Kami, and their mates, we...

Re: Final Farewells [D24, EE, expecting]

"Breaks from the struggle are all we ever get in this life. The struggle always continues. Ah, and here's the bottle." The servant brought the bottle, stoppered to the table, along with 3 cups. They were common fired ceramic ones, nothing fancy. It took Kyosei a few moments to figure out how to get ...

Re: Final Farewells [D24, EE, expecting]

"No, no. Not the beer, something they said they brew up in the back, over a longer period of time. I think they said this had been sealed for a few years? Not their first product, but something more practiced than that."

Re: Final Farewells [D24, EE, expecting]

When the first guest was present, Kyosei gave a nod of the head. "I ordered a bottle of some sort of local liquor. No idea what it will taste like, but... seemed appropriate. Have a seat, have a seat..."

Re: My Lizard Brain [Koyama's Q&A]

I don't understand why others had trouble understanding you! O' course, Kyosei was originally a peasant, and one from mountains, so his growing up accent was not too terribly different. Since he was raised in rank, and taught magic, he was also educated in how to speak more clearly, dontchano? But, ...

Re: Pure Stone (Kyosei's Q&A)

In a thread with Kinsen, I got her tentative agreement to help, in case of negotiations between the Isawa and the Empire, with making the Isawa either an Imperial Family, or their own clan. As, at this time, there is no difference between minor and major, it would just be a clan.

Re: Final Farewells [D24, EE, expecting]

Kyosei lifted a hand, and gave a wave. He could have called, but it was already a bit rowdy in the main body of the room, and he had no wish to try to over shout the Crabs. Already, the clan was made of large people, and with that came loud voices.

Final Farewells [D24, EE, expecting]

Kyosei entered the brewery. He was not generally a drinker, but one or two wouldn't hurt, would it? He did try to find the corner that was likely to be the quietest and most private. He thought of the other as a friend, and wanted to give his good byes before he did negotiations the next day, then l...

Only got two sessions on learning Sign - was hoping you would do it a few more times, but the game didn't seem to allow. Will she be back, giving more lessons in HF3?

Re: Last Son of the Chusu (Taochusu)

Makes sense for his story, and I was sad to read his passing. He was a guy that Kyosei liked. I tried to sound him out about becoming an Isawa, but the clues indicated he wasn't willing, and Kyosei could respect his reasons.

Another also enters, and sluices himself clean. He had helped create the first bathhouse, introduced the idea to the Isawa, in addition to the sauna's, and enjoyed them whenever he could. Kyosei, finished with sprucing up a bit, now took a seat in the bathing area, to let the heat seep in, and let h...

Sorry for not much interaction, but Togashi is the one Kami that Kyosei actively doesn't like. So, he just tends to avoid the Dragon entirely.

Also sorry we did not have a thread together. Would have loved some notes on carving.
