#1 is kind of interesting to me because I think it fits well with Shiba's intellectual/scholarly side and reminds me of the "alternate Emperors" description in IH that postulates a Shiba-led land as revolving less around the warrior and war side of samurai-dom - this choice to me keeps duels around ...

I like that this is turning into a race between two extremely opposite and interesting outcomes, one in which they become good and obedient Bayushis, the other in which their name is practically erased from history and memory!

I think especially with the portal now closed there are some interesting opportunities for substitute threats - under #4, truly massive Yobanjin hordes requiring a northbound version of the Carpenter Wall could certainly fit...

I wouldn't mind seeing a mix of both, actually! In fact, I think it would be quite interesting to see canon folks potentially ending up in non-canon places, whether they become family heads as they did in canon or become very famous figures in another family and clan...

If they do become full Imps, do the Takemori/Ongaku change bonuses since the tribe is Awareness and already covered by Yuzuru? Just curious since with the Horiuchi mess the Unicorn had six families once upon a time and they didn't overlap family bonuses.
