Kaze's penchant for getting one or two hits in and then getting incapacitated makes him a liability, rather than an asset. Going to sit this out, I think.

"I will. But you are making sure that you are coming back, too. If you don't, I will hunt you down. You know this."

"Then...then it is almost settled." He smiled warmly. "Seppun Kaze...I like it."

"That is wonderful news! I hope...were there negotiations that were made?"

"I will worry, but I will deliver many prayers to Amaterasu and to Benten that I will see you again." He paused, then affected an academic tone. "There are many advantages, I am told, to being married to a bona fide hero."

Kaze smiled warmly. "I suppose it is." A breath. "Momentous doings tomorrow. Are you...you know..."

Kaze smiles and goes for his own jade to share the tale of purity with Wu.

"It puts me in mind of our first meeting. I got the drop on you then as well, as I recall."

Kaze comes a little closer and, without making a sound, lays a hand on Dawei's elbow.

"You are cute when you are lost in thought, my love," he whispers.

Kaze arrived silently. Spotting the distracted Dawei, he maneuvered through the shadows to a position near his right, where he observed for a short time in silent concern.

Kaze returns the greetings from those nearest his heart on this journey, and if he favors Dawei with a smile, it is still well within the bounds of etiquette.

Kaze sat nearest to Nanzi. He meant to understand what was coming.

Kaze smiled. "Well, you haven't offended me yet." Then he rose. "But I have detained you long enough, I think. I hope to speak with you again soon, Bayushi-san. It has been very helpful."

Kaze beamed. "Soon, then." And with another kiss, he made his /exit.

"I assure you that I have done nothing improper in all of our discussion." He nodded his head most firmly. "So you need not fear for my reputation. Kaze touched his lips in amazement. "I...thank you, Dawei-kun. You know...I love when you are spontaneous like that. I love how firm, but gentle you are when you are sculpting. How intent you are on your work. I find myself becoming jealous of the piece, wishing that it was me under your hands. I......

Kaze nodded. "I am glad that I have met you, Bayushi-san. You are very practical. I like that."

Kaze smiled. "Then that is what we shall do. So clever, to have the ear of Lady Hantei." He leaned back against the wagon wheel. "I love you, Dawei-kun."

Kaze smirked at Dawei's reaction. "I am looking forward to it, Dawei-kun. But we should talk to Lord Hantei soon, before his mind is occupied solely with his brother."

"How...sad, that they ensure that their worst fears come to pass."

Kaze found himself leaning into the touch. "Oh, yes, you have been." He sighed. "If you weren't on watch, you wouldn't have to take my work for it."
