[D11-LA+EE] alone time (Mai's tent)

Mai sighed to herself and continued to make arrows, thinking back on the meeting. It could have gone better, but all in all, they should be able to save Fu Leng in some form, maybe. Their goals had appeared to have changed. The ratmen city really should be repaired. In a way, she was honored to have...

Re: [D11-EM+LM] Mai oh Mai! (Closed)

"I can work as I talk or take a short break. I have been hard at work from wake to sleep provisioning on every day we do not march. Perhaps some time away will do me good." Her eyes briefly flitted over to Kanna. "I am not exactly the best fit to speak for my clan. You honor me in saying so." "Who e...

"I will join unless Taiko requests to. I think I have had a bit more interaction with other Clans on this expedition. I also would like an opportunity at the end of the meeting to hand someone the arrows I have made. Redistribution of goods is pretty important."

Re: A Concern Or Paranoia? (D11 EA)

"Changing a name is usually done by adding to it as Ch'Jak'Matt stated. So I imagine any corrupting would occur that way. Perhaps the Nezumi could remove a small part easier than the whole thing? We should ask their delegation, perhaps providing them with favors to aid they trust."

"Yes, arrows take little time. They can be made in the field, and are sadly expendable. I am trying to keep busy as much as possible to aid the expedition."

"Yes, Taiko and I are well. Sadly, our Clan is small."

Re: A Concern Or Paranoia? (D11 EA)

"I agree with Bayushi-San. If we mortals can accomplish so monumental a task, no matter the sacrifice , then we should. Our lives are shorter and more transient than the Kami. We are many, and comparatively unwise in the shadow of the Kami. We owe it to the Kami, to our Clans, and to future generati...

Re: A Concern Or Paranoia? (D11 EA)

"This one managed to speak at some length with the Big Rat. As I had been told, Nezumi have at least three roles in society: rememberers, warriors, and shaman. The shaman is the one who names the nezumi and their weapons. I do not know if all weapons have names." "Nezumi pups gain a name after two y...

Mai gave a small smile to Kanna, flushing ever so slightly. It was the heat, right? Right?

"Kanna-san. Always nice to see you! Spider Clan is always welcome to visit."

Re: A Concern Or Paranoia? (D11 EA)

"I am just a lowly Artisan, I only speak now as Nazo is not in attendance. The Nezumi said the shaman would wrest the 'sky-people' name from him and leave him with a 'normal' name. I spoke of Name once before with Ch'Jak'Matt." (She pronounced the name decently, after having practiced considerably) ...

"Ah enter!" Spider were always welcome in Mai's tent. Except the eight legged, fuzzy ones. She had a nice spear to poke those with. Bowing low, "Reiko-dono, it is nice to see you again."

"Ryoshun Mai." She bowed low and smiled shyly.

A bit later when painting was discussed she offered, "if you choose to paint it Phi, I can try to hand you what you need and mix paints."

(Take my +1 to Painting!)

[D11-EM+LM] Mai oh Mai! (Closed)

Mai was in a particularly foul mood. Despite having nothing happen last night it was that time of the month. No, not the one you are thinking of. The one where she sometimes inexplicably wandered off. The night before passed safely. The nightmares raged as always. Strange howls from dead men and cre...

Re: A Concern Or Paranoia? (D11 EA)

Mai decided to enter on behalf of the Bat. She had already met the Spider. She bowed low and touched the jade. Carrying a nice bundle of arrows, she intended to distribute them when given the chance.

(D9-EE)Fletching!(Bat area)

Mai had been having some pretty awful luck crafting. At least Tao's mask went well. She wondered to herself which of the Fortune's she had managed to anger this time or if perhaps the whole expedition was doomed. (Ooc making 6 flesh-cutter, TN 10 I accidentally hit 6 then enter with no dive rolling ...

Re: Idolizing (D9, LA. Open)

Nursing the bleeding finger, Mai nodded and gritted her teeth, "I'll be fine. Though it is a bit worrisome Benten does not smile upon this mission. Perhaps Lady Nazo would have insight if she were here. I am a simple carver by nature. I am more disappointed task I should have been able to accomplish...

Re: Idolizing (D9, LA. Open)

Mai decided to help on the project. She sat off to the side carving, as well. Carving an idol of Benten, she looked lost in thought. The knife slipped and nicked her hand as she messed up.

Re: [D9 EA] Scenic Lunch

"My Clan does a lot of that. At least the craftsmen do. I make what others ask for. They want a thing, and I try to exceed their expectations. Simple requests filled, yet they make people happy. Nazo and her priests do some odd things but they also make people happy so there is that."
