Agasha soon arrived, looking between them and standing their awkwardly. "Um..."

"Oh. Perhaps. I think it's something related to the Realm of Dreams, certainly," she replied with a nod.

She looked confused. "Why would Jigoku protect the rats?"

"We focus on crafting and interaction with the spirit realms, especially Meido for obvious reasons related to Ryoshun," she explained. "It's been interesting studying the lore I can find on different realms. I hope you will consider us."

"A personal interest?"

"... No, it's 'cause there are volcanoes in the northern mountains," she replied in confusion.

"I think that's very possible. It might make it easier. Or it might just be emblematic of your connection to another spirit world entirely. I've wanted to test the effect of the essence of other spirit realms on humans both with and without jade. If it's that, your abilities would still be very help...

"I see... that sounds like it would be really useful. I want to be able to understand them, too. Is it something you just picked up on, or is it a spiritual ability? I wonder if the kami could help with that, too?" She wondered as she hung with her arms dangling below her head.

"Hmm... if you don't hear them, I wonder if they mean something specific or not? I heart you go..." She concentrated and imitated the sounds to the best of her ability. " Vreezzz and sssict just now. Though I wonder if it loses something when a human who's not connected to those spirits in particula...

"Hmm... Honestly, I'm not sure. That would be something to study. If base essence of Jade is that of Tengoku, if it's infused with its energy - or, as the rats would put it, if it carries its Name as part of its essence - then they may well instinctively shy away from it the way a wild animal instin...

"That's fair." Agasha pulled herself up until she was hanging by the upper branch from her knees. "The shapechanging bat spirits? Are you partially koumori? Is that why you talk like that?"

She nodded. "I don't know why there's fire underground yet, but I want to find out."

"Yes! I bet we haven't even really started to plumb the depths of which they're capable," she said, finally reaching his level with her feet on one branch and her hands holding onto the branch above. "I want to find out everything about them, and the spirit realms, and all sorts of things. Shiba-san...

"Um... You know how metal melts if you get it hot enough?" She asked. "Turns out rocks do that, too."

"Oh! I have been very curious about that. I know from dealing with Meido and Ryoshun-san and seeing Ningen-do's effect on the Kami that all realms seem to have an effect on the people who set foot in them. Unless you're meant to set foot in them, like when you're dreaming. Actually, the dream realm ...

"We should research that eventually. Maybe alongside Ryoko-san's magic and figuring out a way to commune with the spirits without blood, since she seems to be able to do that. With some lift from air, flying should be theoretically no problem, but it might be a challenge to figure out how to convinc...

Agasha seemed to take it perfectly earnestly, throwing her arms in the air with a bounce in the water. "Yeah! I wonder if eventually you could take advantage of underground lava?"

She tilted her head, then nodded. "Mm-hmm. I'm one of them. Rei-chan is the other, but she's too little to have much to say. Who're you, climber of trees? Are you hoping to fly?"

She nodded several times. "I think the more you practice holding onto it, the easier it will be to concentrate. Eventually you may be able to do with without much attention on it at all, and be able to do other things while you're doing it!"

"... Practice. Lots and lots and lots and lots of it," she explained. "There's not really a special way to get better at much of anything but that. Though you should also experiment. Trying new things will help you find and push your limits and the limits of magic as a whole."
